Welcome!

Who Am I as a Therapist?

As a therapist I find great joy in supporting Individuals and couples through hard life transitions, bumps in the road and relational setbacks such as trauma, betrayal , sex and intimacy struggles and simply a decline in mental well-being. And honestly, we have all been there!

Also, I am an expert in adolescent mental health and it truly fills my cup to the brim to be able to create a safe haven for my teen clients as they work though all of the confusion and emotional changes that come with getting through the middle and high school years. Helping a teen feel a sense of relief and hope in the face of anxiety, stress and worry is why I started doing this work and TBH is still what keeps me going on most days!

The formal stuff…

I am a graduate of the USC School of Social Work and had spent many years working within community and school mental health, both in Los Angeles and the Bay Area before starting my practice.

I adore and deeply connect with teens, which is why after a decade of working in school wellness, I have continued to serve and support teenagers struggling with mental health challenges. As all good things evolve, so has my specialty. Working with couples and becoming skilled in relational mental health has become somewhat of an obsession. I am currently working on my certified sex therapist credentials and have found tons of excitement in helping my clients improve their sense of connection with themselves and the ones they love. I also absolutely adore and endorse the concept of proactively using therapy as a self-care tool and simply a safe space to reflect and grow.

Additionally, it may be fruitful for you to be aware that I am a licensed mental health professional who is bi-racial (she/her) and multicultural and that I DO bring BOTH of my personal and professional life experiences into the sessions. In order to hold space for you as we begin the path toward feeling more emotionally connected to yourself and your loved ones, I also believe it can be important to acknowledge race, culture, and ethnicity when and as it feels most appropriate.

Lastly, I am originally an East Coaster who now resides on the West Coast and I love everything related to health and wellbeing. I enjoy being in nature, surrounded by a wide range of cultures, and spending as much time as I can at the beach.

Who is My Ideal Client?

My ideal therapy client is someone who is ready to embrace the vulnerabilities that therapy often uncovers, understanding that this is a vital step toward healing and growth. They are courageous enough to trust their intuitive sense that therapy can be helpful, even if they feel some apprehension about opening up. This client is committed to self-exploration and willing to reflect on how their identities and intersectionalities—such as race, gender, culture, and life experiences—shape who they are and influence their challenges. They may be seeking a therapist who not only empathizes with their struggles but also understands the complexities of navigating multiple identities, and they may appreciate that I, too, bring my own bi-costal mixed-race, cultural perspective into the therapeutic space.

An ideal client also values the balance I offer between science and evidence-based interventions, along with a deeply relational and humanistic approach to therapy. They are curious, open-minded, and ready to actively engage in a collaborative relationship that fosters both emotional insight and practical change. This client knows that therapy is not just about techniques but about building a trusting, authentic connection, where they can show up as their full selves. Ultimately, they recognize that through this process, they will gain deeper insights and cultivate meaningful, long-lasting growth.
